From Milan: Highway A8 “dei Laghi”, towards Como – San Gottardo or Highway A8, towards Varese – Stabio (Gaggiolo). Suggested exit: Lugano Sud.
From Zurich: Highway A2, towards San Gottardo – Chiasso – Italia. Suggested exit: Lugano Sud. After having driven along the lake towards the city centre, just follow the signs for the Salone Internazionale Svizzero delle Vacanze.
Please remember that in order to use the highway in Switzerland, it is compulsory to have the highway vignette on the windsreen (cost SF 40.- valid from January to December), which can be bought at Customs. Otherwise, Lugano can be reached using the cantonal road.

The Exhibition Centre is only 6 minutes on foot from the city centre. Otherwise it is possible to use the city buses, autobus cittadini (line 1), and get off at the Lido.

Milan Malpensa Airport is only an hour away from downtown Lugano, easy to reach by highway.
From Milan Malpensa airport, you take the road that connects to the highway and then follow the directions to Como / Chiasso (A8 Highway). Once past the Swiss border you can follow the signs toward Lugano.
